Thoughts of a Grad Student

It's my final year. It goes so fast. What next? That's the scary part.

It'd be job hunting. I'm casting the net and seeing where life takes me. I believe I'm on a path. Job hunting, resumes, applications, and CVs feel like a full-time job in itself. It can become overwhelming.

I'm finished with my finals and on winter break. I decided to take up a part-time job at a clothing store as they needed extra help and employee discounts and some extra bucks is not a bad idea.

The rest of the time I'll be getting a start on my graduate portfolio, job hunting, maybe writing.

I will write my novel.

Yet, bake a lot—whether it be cookies, brownies, cake, biscotti.

Take the time to spend with my family and friends. I like to go out.

The final year of your program is like a marathon. Keep focused, steady pacing, yet also take the time to enjoy the scenery, sights, and things experienced while at it.

With that said, MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR
